New Account Creation Help

Learn how to set up your account and start using SavantPDM

What is a Workspace? A workspace is a container for your company or organization where users can be invited to collaborate. All users linked to a workspace share the same subscription, and workspace admins can manage user access, roles, and permissions.


New User Account & New Workspace Setup (for Admin Users)

Follow these steps if you are creating a new workspace and will be the administrator:

  1. Create a new account on Savant3D.com.
  2. Verify your email. A verification email will be sent to your email address. Click the link in the email to verify your account, then log in to Savant3D.com.
  3. Create a new workspace. New users you invite will link to this workspace later. You will automatically become the Admin user for that workspace, but you can add and change admin users later.
  4. Navigate to Workspace Info. On the Account page (click on the Welcome, <First Name> link in the navigation bar if not already there), scroll down to the Workspace Information section and click the "Workspace Info" button. This takes you to the Workspace Info page where you can:
    • Choose your subscription tier
    • Invite users
    • Set user roles
    • Activate/deactivate users
  5. Invite users to your workspace. On the Workspace Info page, scroll down to the "Workspace Users" section, click the "Invite Users" button, enter their email address, and click "Send Invitation." The user will receive an email with a secure invitation link that expires after 7 days. When they click the link, they'll be guided to create an account (if needed) and will automatically join your workspace. After they join, they will appear in the "Workspace Users" list.

Tip: As an admin, you can manage user roles (Editor or Viewer), activate or deactivate users, and grant or revoke admin privileges from the Workspace Info page.


New User Account & Link to an Existing Workspace

Follow these steps if you've been invited to join an existing workspace:

  1. Click the invitation link. When a workspace administrator invites you, you'll receive an email with a secure invitation link. Click the link to get started.
  2. Create an account or log in. If you don't have an account yet, you'll be prompted to create one. If you already have an account, log in when prompted. The invitation link will remember where you were in the process.
  3. Verify your email (new accounts only). If you created a new account, a verification email will be sent to your email address. Click the verification link, then click the invitation link from the original email again to complete joining the workspace.
  4. You're in! Once logged in with a verified account, clicking the invitation link will automatically add you to the workspace. You'll see a confirmation message.
  5. Download SavantPDM. Go to the "Download" page to download SavantPDM for macOS or Windows.

Important: Invitation links expire after 7 days for security purposes. If your link has expired, ask your workspace administrator to send you a new invitation. You must be linked to a workspace with an active subscription to use SavantPDM.
