I think i first started playing this song when i was about 13. The song is very short, and incidentally it is also very sweet. I find the two things often go together. It's off coldplays first album (also called parachutes), and it happens to be one of my favourite songs to play on the guitar. It just feels good... and it's so emotive two.

The Needle and the Damage done is a beutiful Neil Young song. The process of learning to play this song pushed my skills as a guitarist forward, and i am grateful for that. The lyrics are so well crafted two, Neil Young is a master of the songwriting craft.

This song is an all time favourite of mine, and it's by Green Day. Yet again a very well crafted song by a talented song writer. Quality lyrics two. I learned this when i was 15, i think. I think it is one of those songs that adolescents find magnetic for whatever reason.

This is off of Nirvana's debu album, and is probably the first truly great song that Kurt Cobain ever recorded (In my Opinion). It is quite Beatlesque in form, and apparently Cobain wrote it after having listened to Beatles records for hours on end. It was a refreshing deviation from the contemporary punk rock songs of the time.
